We are sending out this update to advise you of the current status of the deployment schedule for all remaining core functionality for V1 of the Coin Exchange.
Since our last update, we have continued to recruit and onboard new members to our team.This includes operational and engineering roles bringing our total headcount to seven. We have implemented a number of bug fixes, product improvements, feature requests, and deployed support for sending and receiving Bitcoin.
A decentralized non-custodial cross-chain wallet is not as simple as it may sound. Unlike centralized or custodial products that are able to control data and/or funds directly, contrasting platforms such as as ours requires integration and continuous requests to the blockchain, node providers, oracles, and more in order to ensure operation. Each integration, request, and call increases complexity and risk. For example, a rounding error from a service provider can make the transaction fail when the blockchain is expecting an exact figure. ie. A provider passes a quantity of 10.00 when your wallet balance is actually 9.998. These are just some of the ongoing challenges that we’ve had to continue to conquer as we continue our engineering efforts.
That said, we are on schedule in accordance to the timeline below. This includes deploying an updated build to MainNet today with support for sending and receiving BTC and ETH… all from the same wallet, while remaining decentralized and assets solely under user-custody.
- 2/17: Exchange support (cross-chain swaps)
- 2/24: Staking support ($COIN)
- 3/3: V2 UI update
- 3/10: Website refresh and AI browser extension release
This week, we will continue with additional bug fixes, product improvements, and more. As previously noted, please remember that V1 is a base build that is a focused experience centered on core utility.
V2 will be polished with UI enhancements, full AI integration, browser extension support, and more. Full execution of our marketing will commence following the network operating as intended and meeting the expectations of our users and the subsequent launch of the Coin Exchange V2. Please note that this schedule is what we fully intend to execute upon, however; we ask that you understand that it could change due to unforeseen circumstances.
